Requirements for Eligibility for Appointment to a Collegiate-Alumnae Advisory Board

• Maintenance of good standing by appropriate performance in this or other position(s)
• Current record of payment of all dues, fees, and assessments
• Completion of the Candidate Application (Advisory) and all required attachments
• Return of a signed CAAB Agreement Form
• Completion of possible interview/evaluation process

The collegiate chapter president must complete the CAAB Request for Appointment forms and submit via USPS to National Headquarters. Prior to nomination, each candidate is encouraged to visit with the executive committee and the membership of the chapter if she has not done so at the time of the interview.

Each candidate's qualifications are evaluated as to past performance and experiences and skills pertinent to the advisory position. Interviews for advisory positions are completed at the discretion of the Nominations Coordinator -- Advisory, who is under the direction of the Director of Collegiate Chapters. To determine a superior candidate, each applicant may be assessed in the following areas: general experience, Sorority experience, and specific position experience appropriate to the Sorority. References may also be contacted for the candidates.

The National Vice President appoints all advisers. The National President sends an official appointment letter to the appointee, the other Chapter Advisers, the chapter president and the college or university administrator overseeing the sorority community. Internal notification is sent to the National Council and National Headquarters.
