National Adviser Appreciation Day

National Adviser Appreciation Day

Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority gratefully recognizes all who advise, guide, and support our collegiate chapters,  members and Greek communities. To demonstrate our appreciation and to reach out to alumnae, campus administrators, community leaders and other supportive individuals, Alpha Sigma Tau National Sorority declares April 10 to be National Adviser Appreciation Day. The event was first commemorated nationally on April 10, 2008.

Leading the Way to National Adviser Appreciation Month

In October 2008, Alpha Sigma Tau's National Panhellenic Conference delegation proposed a Panhellenic-wide recognition of advisers each April. Our fellow sororities and women's fraternities overwhelmingly supported our efforts, and our resolution to celebrate April as National Adviser Appreciation Month was adopted.

"We wanted to collectively work with our NPC cohorts to provide an opportunity in April for sorority/women's fraternity members to appreciate the tremendous efforts of collegiate-alumnae advisory board members, patron/ness, faculty advisors, and Greek Advisors," said Chris Covington, National President of Alpha Sigma Tau. "We were so pleased that our colleagues agreed."
