Zeta Tau Chapter - Panhellenic Chapter of the Year
The Zeta Tau Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia has been awarded the Panhellenic Chapter of the Year by their campus. This award is for the chapter that displays excellence in Leadership, Scholarship, Service and Sisterhood. The recipient of this award excels in all areas that make up an outstanding chapter while continuing to live up to the high standards its founders established.
Kathryn Planow, Associate Director of Longwood's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, says, "Members of Zeta Tau are members of the Rotunda, Mortar Board, Lancer Productions, College Panhellenic, Kappa Delta Pi, and others. Not only are they involved, this chapter also maintains the best second best overall GPA with a 3.093. They were one of three Greek organizations who participated in the Farmville Chili cookoff. They volunteer at FACES and other campus events such as the Alzhiemer’s walk and the Big Event. One of their new members said it best: 'we may be small but we are mighty.' This organization is a group of motivated women who live by their open motto: active, self-reliant and trustworthy."
