Etiquette
Every day many of us spend a lot of our time either in training sessions or meetings. From time to time, it helps to receive a friendly reminder of everyday etiquette we should remember.
| • R.S.V.P. in a timely manner when appropriate |
• Arrive on time and be prepared with paper and pen/ pencil. |
• A good rule of thumb for any gathering – dress in layers. |
| • Coffee and tea, soda and water are usually, but not always, available. If you must have something other than the standard beverage, please bring it with you. |
• Do not help yourself to food in cabinets or refrigerators. It belongs to someone else. |
• Park where indicated. Carpooling to meetings is always a good idea, especially now that gas costs nearly $3.00/gallon. |
| • Cell phones should be turned off during meetings and training. You have the opportunity to return calls during breaks. Do not use your cell phone in an occupied work area. |
• Return on time from breaks. | • Trash should be disposed of in the appropriate containers, both in the meeting/training rooms and in the restrooms. |
| • Wear your name badge and introduce yourself to your coworkers. |
• Respect the facilitator! She or he has spent a great deal of time to condense important information to share with you in the time allowed. |
• Always thank the facilitator and colleagues at the conclusion of the meeting. |
| • Send thank you notes when appropriate |
