National Headquarters
The Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority Headquarters serves the membership as the central location for operations management. Headquarters is the home of our Headquarters Staff, member training facility, leadership meeting space, vendor and partner meetings, and a host of essential business and sisterhood activities to support our exceptional sisterhood.
Indianapolis, Indiana
In December 2009, Alpha Sigma Tau completed the purchase of a new facility at 3334 Founders Road in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 10,000 square foot, single-story building houses executive and staff offices; training space for members; and meeting space for leaders, committees, work groups and vendors. In the heart of College Park, the home of numerous Greek headquarters and community partners, the new structure location provides the Sorority with an array of resources and community opportunities. The facility meets the design, proximity/accessibility, tax benefit, and location requirements established by feedback from members and volunteer leaders to allow the Sorority to meet its established strategic objectives.
Over 30 sororities/women’s fraternities, men’s fraternities, Greek partners, and their affiliated foundations are neighbors in the Greek friendly city of Indianapolis, Indiana. Alpha Sigma Tau is proud to join our Greek friends as a community partner and resource.

Previous Headquarters Facilities
Birmingham, Alabama
As the organization grew, numerous discussions posed the possibility of the Sorority having its own building. Discussion centered on various locations as the possible choices for such an office. Location possibilities were soon focused on Birmingham, Alabama. The Birmingham Headquarters facility was purchased and renovated in 1994 and was further renovated following damage by Hurricane Opal in 1995. The building houses the Headquarters offices and the Sorority archives. Items such as historical photographs, documents, and awards are on display. Funding for the purchase and maintenance of Headquarters is provided by membership and other benefactors via the Alpha Sigma Tau National Foundation, Inc. Sisters recently contributed more than $12,000 to the Headquarters Fund, providing an additional $10,000 grant as a challenge.
St. Louis, Missouri
The first project of newly elected National President Dorothy Robinson in 1949 was that of transferring all Sorority records and services to St. Louis, Missouri. President Robinson arranged for office space in an apartment building converted to business space in Clayton, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Record keeping was streamlined and services extended. The position of Director of the Central Office became an official council office in 1974. The Central Office staff allowed for an increase in services to collegiate and alumnae chapters.
